The BEA is hosting a night out to watch the Edmonton Oilers take on a division rival in the Anaheim Ducks on November 26, 2023. This event is open to all students! It will be a great mix of both local and international students. Hope to see you there!

These sessions will address some of the common barriers and challenges facing international students at the University of Alberta, while also providing insight, guidance and resources to help make the transition to the academic and social life at the UofA/in Edmonton easier. Experience the world famous Edmonton Ice Castles at Hawrelak Park! More details to come but we would love for you to come with us as we walk through the ice castles. Weather permitting but we plan to head to the park at 6 pm on January 27th after meeting in the business building where we will then be providing a shuttle service down to Hawrelak.
Come join us for some drinks and food at one of Edmonton’s coolest bar’s. We will be offering one prepaid drink to those in the buddy network. This is an event to welcome you to our city and have fun socializing with all of the incoming exchange students! The event starts at 6 pm but feel free to join whenever you can!
The BEA will be hosting a board game night at Hexagon Board Game Cafe! We will meet at the Cafe at 6 PM (sharp). Bring yourself and be prepared to crush some epic board games!

Meet at the Second Cup in the Business Atrium at 6 pm (sharp) and we will be providing rides to and from the event. We are covering the cost of bowling but there is also food available for purchase at the bowling alley!

Wanna test your case competition skills in an international level?
The annual International Case Competition hosted by the BEA is back once again and this year it's bigger and better! Teams of 4 (2 domestic and 2 international students) will have 24 hours to come up with a 15-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute question period.
Prizes include:
1st place - 2 Round Trip Flight Tickets to any of Flair Airlines Destination PER MEMBER and a gift basket
2nd place - $400
3rd place - $200
Sign up in front of the BSA office between 11AM - 2PM from November 18 to 21. The cost is $20 per team member and lunch will be included.

BEA is taking 20 exchange students from our Buddy Network to experience Canadian hockey culture at Rogers Place. The Oilers play the Arizona Coyotes on November 4, 2019! Tickets are $65.00 and are only available to the buddy network!
