Welcome to the BEA Buddy Network Winter 2023

(For Exchange Students)

About:

Every semester, the Alberta School of Business takes in exchange students from all over the world and these students will study at the University of Alberta for one or two semesters to experience the Canadian education and culture. In this program, each exchange student will be paired with a domestic Business student to foster new connections and to further help new students adapt and settle in. As an exchange student, you can ask your domestic buddy for campus information, how classes work, things to do in Alberta, and any other questions you may have!

How to Join?

1. Join the Buddy Network Here! (Application is now closed - Deadline: January 18, 2022 11:59PM)

2. After signing up, you will receive a Welcome Email with the contact of your local buddy.

3. Connect with your buddy.

4. Join the Exchange Facebook Group.

5. Come out to our events!

Being paired with a Canadian buddy will help your transition to life in Edmonton and the University of Alberta smoother. The Business Exchange Association hosts social and academic events throughout the year and as a Buddy, you will receive information on upcoming events. Past events include Buddy Social Nights, Skating in the Park, visiting the local Ice Castles, and a Camping Trip in Jasper. We encourage you and your buddy to come out, meet new people and join the fun!
